Magician

1 The Magician

Somewhere in the periphery of winter into spring, the Magician strikes a chord on his banjo, and at once the air is electrified, a symbiosis of lightening bolt energy and the ancient music that emanates from the hills and hollows. The four elements are the main ingredients for spontaneous creation. My brother, Jeffrey Riordan Hinich, who lives in Wabos, Ontario, channels his great-great-great grandfather, Owen Riordan - a heavenly muse touching the earthly plane. Wabos, is an Algonquin word that has two different meanings: one is translated as hare or rabbit and the other means white. The March hare appears here as the Magician's totem animal.
